I helped my girlfriend do the wet-out of the bottom of her Arctic Tern 14's hull yesterday. The workspace temp was about 50 degrees, a safe margin above the min. working temp. of the System Three resin we are using. The workspace cooled somewhat during the night, which slowed the cure. We waited about 18 hours until attempting the first fill coat of the glass. The resin was curing but was still a bit too tacky, We should have waited but we went ahead and glassed it anyhow. Getting into a hurry is hardly ever worth it. The glass stuck to the hull like tape, which made smoothing the cloth over the hull immensely difficult. We ended up with good results, but we spent double the amount of time it should have taken. Some lessons come hard. Ricci
