In Response To: artwork for decal (Steve)

: Does anyone know a source for pictures of animal artwork from the northwest
: coast indians similar to the designs that were offered at Tamal Vista. I
: emailed them some time back as they offer a couple of decals but didn't
: get any replys. Somewhere in one of the books offered by them I read a
: reference to a source for more artwork but now I can't seem to find it. I
: included a link to a picture of the eagle decal they offer.
: TIA

Try the site listed below. I suspect you could obtain permission to use the artwork and if nothing else, it is an interesting site with good (to me at least) art at an affordable price. The $$$ are Canadian so it is almost free to you. It also links to other places. Might also try searches for Haida art or Queen Charlotte art. I've never used decals but have used carbon paper taped to a picture to trace the image onto my boats. I do this after the boat is glassed, use whatever paint I want then put a bit of resin over it, sand it down and varnish. I don't have the technology to send a picture so just pretend it works and looks wonderful.
good luck
