There's an article abt a co. that does it in last wavelength mag.(volks somtheing i think) Essentially build in 2 @ 6 bolted double bulkheads a saw kerf apart in front of the feet and accessible thru the front hatch and at the back of the seet and accessible thru the back hatch. Saw apart and bolt. I'd put a black thread across ea strip a ea gap location (for a perfect dotted line around the yak) that you saw (see?) thru. I bet the bulkhead'd guide the saw after the first few inches.

Don't know the glass sequence but bet that one layer on the o/s would be best first. Could do the same for the bulkheads too. THen at least some seam tape. Personally, I'd separate the bulkheads a further 1/16 or so, and gasket one side of the holes(silicone) so that compression is on the shell & the bolts won't leak. Probably a good idea to use double layers of say3 or 4mm ply for the bulkheads w/ the inner layer jus a perimeter or 2 in or so where the bolts go.
