I noticed you hadn't posted for the last few days, and I was wondering if you were going to whip out a few flutes quickly to impress the rest of us with!

I don't know what your plans are for drilling, but with soft cedar I had some tear-out when I drilled the finger holes, so after the first attempt I did the finger-hole drilling first before gouging the inside. I'd suggest inserting a 3/4" dowel in the flute before drilling.

When you get these flutes done, you'll have take one out kayaking with you, and send the haunting tones across the water as the morning fog lifts...
