The sanding I did to make the compound angles was pretty easy using the following setup.

1) Take 1 table saw. Make sure it can accept a 10” blade.
2) Add a 10” sanding disk with very course paper.
3) Don’t forget about safety. This disk will eat a cedar stringer at about 1” a second. It also creats very fine dust. Wear a good particle mask, use enclosed eye protection and watch them fingers.

If you can reduce the speed of the blade, so much the better.

This method of sanding takes a light touch, so be conservative in the sanding. You’ll need both 129272 and 129294 (or129296). I used a 60-grit disc because the 40-grit wasn’t available at the time. The 60-grit worked just fine. 40-grit might be frighteningly aggressive.
