: I also went to the self adhesive on mine. One thing to watch for: When the
: disc is worn, and it's time to change, you might tear it while peeling it
: off. If so, you MUST get all the little pieces of paper backing off the
: sander before applying another disc. Anything you leave on there, no
: matter how thin, leaves a high spot and will cause the disc to dig a
: little in that spot, so, you will get swirl marks or even scratches. Kinda
: like buying some of the cheaper grades of sand paper and getting varying
: sizes of grit on the paper. NOT GOOD at high speed.

Thanks for that tip Rehd. As I was sanding yesterday and these expensive disks would go flying off like a frisbie it reminded of the pictures you see of money with wings on them. I think these companies have a pretty good racket going with the hook and loop disks.
