Don, I am awaiting the weather to warm and dry out so that I can finish the paint on my Tred Avon. When i put the panels together I was Real careful lining them up with the plans. After CAREFULLY joining the bottom panels toether I stitched all together and found a flat spot. I pulled the panels apart and tried to remove the flat spot with all the stick wedging, trimming panels calls to CLC that I could think of. The result was a small flat spot. I am convinced that the kit panels were off or something. I went so far as to pull the panels apart and check them against the plan specs and all looked good. I reattached the panels and the same flat spot in the same place. Hmmmmmm. I really can't believe that my flat spot or yours will matter one bit. After all of the effort I probably would not worry about 1/4". I would worry about the cosmetics of 1" and do something about it. I like Paul's idea that a hack saw to separate the panels and try a fix that way. Still I think you might be getting more problems than solution. Fairing with epoxy and micro balloons and sanding fair is the easiest. That is not much weight and a solution without pulling apart panels only to find a bigger problem at the other end. Good luck. Brian
