: I took the plunge over the weekend and put a seal coat and the first layer of
: fiberglass on my hull. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be and so
: for the results look ok....none of the bubbles I had on my test panels.
: What I did get though was a blemish. I sanded the seal coat before glassing
: and in a few of the areas where the resin was too thick it turned white
: when sanded. I figured that would go away when I put glass and fresh epoxy
: over it but I was wrong. It doesn't look too bad but I'd like to avoid it
: happening again. I wiped down the hull with a damp towel after
: sanding...what else should I do?
: Thanks
I would agree with Rob. I have one spot on my first kayak that must have gotten wet during the epoxy process - I probably sweated on it, and it left a nice white blemish that doesn't go away.
