I found this pic of one of my stringers being twisted into place. Keep in mind that these are 3/4" x 1" strips and you are bending 1/4" x 3/4", but the concept is the same, just less and lighter. My pipe clamps althought not entirely in the photo, are 3' long and it took 3 or 4 of them, but I just micro waved the damp towels and wrapped them around the stringers and applied the clamps and just let the heat and moisture do the work. Took only 15 minutes to achieve an almost 90* twist.
With a couple of c-clamps and some weight applied, you should be able to get those strips to come around in no time. Hope that helps.
