: Is this a one off design (i know its based on the Return) or are other boats

: still plan to build a stripper, But this boat just looks to cool! The

: that are smooth and rounded like Bills boat. Or do you just use the forms

: answered my question on routers, I purchsed the Dewalt 2hp plunge router.
Well, I suppose it's a "as many off" as you desire. The forms were from Joe Greenley's design, while the implimentation was from the seat of the pants :-) I think almost any other strip built boat could be converted this way. It would probably be wise to follow more traditional joinery techniques such as lashing or combo of that and glue/epoxy. This was suggested on the board earlier (search back through posts on X). I haven't had a problem with epoxy alone yet, and may not in the quiet waters we usually ply, but for a more robust ocean going boat, lashing would be better (all those native builders over the last 1000 years must have known something!!). When I get time I will try Platt Monfort's method of applying dacron (polyester) and heat shrinking it. I'll also probably follow Mike Hank's lead and coat it with a urethane.
