I have found that attaching by POS craftsman shopvac to my Dewalt ROS effectively captures nearly all of the dust...not only airborn but also from under the paper. This seems to keep the paper less clogged and make viewing the work surface possible (without the need to continuously wipe or blow).
: Anybody have a guess as to how much dust is eliminated by using a vacuum with
: a ROS?
: Previously for 2 kayaks I've already sanded outdoors with no vac.
: Now, I'm planning on sanding indoors with a vac and want to know if I should
: still hang drop clothes to eliminate dust from floating all over the shop.
: any help here?
: thanks,
