That's what I did, but not quite that much.

The problem seems to occur mostly with narrow shavings, such as when chamfering edges.

The blades is sharpened at the factory angle (25 degrees?), so I assume it's OK.

I couldn't think of any valid reason for the poor cap to blade fit, but wasn't sure if it was intentional. Tonight, it hits the grinder and stones!
