First I want to thank everyone who responded to my previous post on this subject Spidy"s site was espically helpful with the step about filletting around the foam tape. I was wondering what kept the foam from compressing during the lay-up process. My next question has to do with the timing of this operation. I assume the fillet nees to cure or partially cure prior to the layers of glass and epoxy, How Long? One Ocean seems to indicate that the lay-up comes off the mold partially cured as well so as to be able to extract the foam, again How Long? Any help would be greatly appreciated. For anyone interested my current project is a Bear Mountain Reliance Tandem Progress photos can be seen at http://artzippel.com/kayak.html
