there are probably way more disadvantages in the making of this than pros. you get a bunch of 90deg turns for the glass to go around(this/ll be a major problem to solve). more steps. and the drainage.

on the dwgs there's a note abt varying the downturn to 0 at the low pt for drainage, this's make the coaming really flat. the other 2 ways add 3 or more layers of 3 or 4 in strips on the inside. either drill or make a groove.

i've got some wood wrapping around the coaming that i visually don't want to stop, so i kept the downturn relatively constant(actually more at the knees) and just drilled horizontally thru from coaming gutter to outside. sorta like a scupper on each side. there are more cons to the hole approach(like all ww yaks use the groove) but it makes the most sense for my situation.
