hi kay; the answer to your question is an endless list of books and websites.
Nick Schade, our host, wrote possibly the best diy manual for strip building. at least it's the best that i've read. he sells plans also.
redfish kayaks has beautiful designs. i'm building one now.
laughing loon
one ocean
squeedunk
clc
bear mountain
just to name a few. like i said the list is endless....
