As I stated, I've seen a number of old strippers where the interior glass was shot because it did not have a fill coat or varnish. The glass had absorbed water and dirt, and had turned gray and lifted in spots.

I apply at least one fill coat to the interior glass to ensure waterproofness.

To prepare for varnish I scrub with a plastic scrub pad to remove blush and then sand lightly with 120 grit.
