i think ken sarkozy's idea may be the simplest to try out. a simple loop of say 1 to 1 1/2in webbing around the shaft in a loop knot so the ends of the hand loop come out under(ie on the same side) the shaft, say separate by 2-3 inches and measured to fit around the top of the wrist(just above the back of the hand). enuough slack for a twist release. maybe stiffen up the straps w/ some silicone for quickish entry. i'd form the silicone so it widens the opening rather than closes around the hand. let the tension do that.

i also like a modification of johns and my twist release. form up the glove like in his, but make it fairly structural and strong w/ the remaining glove fingers successively curled so that she twists her hand to enter and untwists for a lock. this is going at the twist fitting from the glove side.
