Great ideas. Somewhere between the series of webbing and bungee loops and the mesh fabric with pockets is a probable solution. I'm certainly sensitive to the issue of having stuff hang below the deck and would keep whatever I figure out tight. The Cape Ann has a fairly high deck so there is certainly room for something. I'm shying away from a knee tube approach since I'd like to be able to get to the items without unloading a tube. I'm planning on keeping a hand pump (backup to my electric pump), flares, and maybe a radio in there. The radio is the biggest concern since it is the heaviest item and may get relegated elsewhere. I don't want to screw any hardware in since I've got my chart bungies threaded through undesized holes and don't want to mess up the clean deck. Perhaps a set of custom sized web loops with bungees to keep the items from shifting might work. They could be epoxied under the deck directly. I'll give it all some thought and when a solution presents itself I'll post some pictures.
