One of the reasons I'm choosing kayaking over windsurfing is I got tired of all the setup and teardown time required for windsurfing. By the time you get all the gear together(10 min), load the car(5 min), load the roofracks(10 min), park(10 min), unload(10 min), rig up(15 min) and put the board into the water it's time to go home. I would think about that before getting into a foldable boat.

What appeals to me is to carry a small whitewater boat on the cartop at all times so I can go after work if I feel like it, paddle for 20 minutes, and go home.
