: I have two Pygmy Cohos that I finished about 2 months ago. I want to get the
: knee or thigh braces for them. Are the thigh braces worth the extra cost
: and effort to install, or should I just get the knee braces?

Mark,

I started off with braces under the combing and later put in Pygmy's keyhole thigh braces. The improvement (comfort, control, rolling, etc.) was dramatic. Spreading my knees far enough to reach combing mounted braces made my hips hurt on any long trip. I have heard this comment from others as well. If you are not long legged, "keyholing" the cockpit can make a very big difference. Having good hooks for your knees to grip is imperitive for boat handling skills like bracing and rolling.
