Mr. Bucket,
If you want a flawless boat, buy one and insist that the builder not tell you what did not go exactly as planned during the construction. There are just too many steps involved in the construction process for everything to work 'flawlessly', "stuff" happens, but everything can be fixed in one way or another.
Look at it this way, your first boat will be the best boat you've built so far.
Enjoy the building process and don't sweat the small stuff 'cause the small stuff will happen.
