My first S & G was an Arctic Tern. I've posted the website about the project below. I've been very happy with the boat and am currently building a Tern '14 for my girlfriend. The panels on the Tern pretty much swing together as you install the wire staples. Aside from its good looks, the cambered deck is very strong, goes together easily and gives plenty of paddle clearance. I'm 6'1" and 215lbs, so it's a very good fit for me. OTOH, my girlfriend is 5'7", 130lbs and found the Tern '17 very easy to handle/paddle but opted for the smaller boat since we don't plan to do much camping. "Besides, if we need to stow more gear, you'll have plenty of room in your boat", she said.
