I ran an article on sculling in Sea Kayaker a few years ago. (How to etc) if you send me your mailing address I'll copy it and send it.
Sculling with the Greenland paddle is way easier than the Euro blade and I always demonstrate it at my Greenland paddling talks like at Newfound. It's the foundation of the Greenland style of paddling.
You can start by leaning on the paddle a bit and sculling back and forth and learn to get lift. Eventually you'll be able to scull with you body floating on the water (effortlessly). So... instead of rolling up and hip snapping you body up to the surface, you'll be able to scull to the surface and wiht a few gentle sculling strokes lift yourself right up to your paddling position.

It take a little while to learn (a season) but once you have it - it's amaizingly easy to do.
