I too wanted a kayak for fly/spin fishing. I built the Millcreek 16.5 (my brother-in law and I are unseparable fishing buddies, therefore the double). It is a very stable boat and is not slow for such a wide (33") beam. I would highly recommend it.

One caution: It is too pretty for fish slime.
