I had the same problem you noted with the 2" velcro so I went and got some 3/4" and made 2 strips 1/2" apart from each other on both sides of the seat which holds the seat well yet allows for an easier removal. There was just too much holding power after sitting on the 2" velcro too remove it without the adhesive giving first.
