I'm with you. I'm about halfway through a self-designed 18' kayak and, well, I hate sanding. So my theory is, if it doesn't affect function in any way, it looks terrific the way it is. I will admit to taking a little extra care with the cockpit area, a little less with cargo areas, and none at all in flotation tanks which will never see the light of day after the deck goes on. So those lumps and bumps-- just think of them as anti-skid treatment.
: Hi folks,
: I have to admit, for a;ll that i took great care with the outside of my west
: river 180 to keep it smooth and all, Im forgiving a lot inside the hull.
: That is, I m ignoring the lumps, floated cloth, some air bubbles etc
: etc... I have to be honest, summers closing and I havent finished it yet.
: Am I the only one here with the lesser desirable inside as Ive mentioned?
