This is a little off the subject of building, but I'm a little curious to know if people outside of the gulf coast have heard of the New Orleans man who recently crossed the Gulf of Mexico in a sea kayak. He is the person who first got me interested in this sport. Maybe now I can get him interested in building his own kayak. Too bad his crossing wasn't in a kayak he had built himself.
