I am a bit curious about how well this system works when you actually put a lot of gear through the hatch. How much does a big bag interfere with the bungies, and could they be popped off the hooks if the bag slid sideways in a roll situation ?
I used a locking bar similar to Nick Schade,s system on my Chesapeake and it works really well except a decent size day bag under the hatch is sometimes enough to interfere with the bar and make it fiddly to get done up properly. I am looking at alternatives for boat no. 2-most of Ross's stuff looks great, but I'm not so sure about this one.
