Can someone reference some good photo shots of examples of stripping the keel/bottom area of kayak hulls? I'm a first time builder of a Georgian Bay Kayak and I'm unsure of how the strips meet at the stems. I have the first 6 inches stripped on each hull side (from shear line up) and now it is time for the keel/bottom strips. The plans say that the strip does not extend above the stem but I would think it would have to in order to mate the two beveled ends of the strips. When I attached the sheer line strips, they had to extend an inch beyond the stem end in order for their beveled ends to have a good glue surface to eachother. Thanks in advanced! Randy
