that George Roberts built a Kevlar kayak...but I don't recall seeing it in the Kayak Registry (it was pretty late).

My dad and I where talking about skin-on-frame materials, and he brought about the possibility of Kevlar. Actually, his idea was to use Kevlar as the skin with foam frame members made rigid with carbon fiber laminate (or figerglass). I think thats what he was saying.

I think it's an interesting idea, similar to the urethane strip-built thread.

George, can you describe your kevlar kayak a bit?
