I have a CLC Chesapeake. I found the neoprene skirt they sell to be dangerously tight (i.e., I had to struggle for several minutes to get it off while on dry land in the garage). I subsequently bought a Wild Wasser which fits well and is easy to get off and even has a groovy net pocket w/zipper to keep stuff in. It is a neoprene lap/nylon tunnel model. However, the pooled water seems to leak readily through the seams that join the neoprene to the nylon. I have seam sealed it which helped but not enough so I am now going to try aquaseal on the other side which I believe will take care of the residual leakage. However, I have also been practicing sculling and stuff with my new boat and so my cockpit rim is often underwater. Water leaks in here as well. I believe that the wooden style cockpit rim that CLC and perhaps other wood kit manufacturers use is not so wonderful at keeping water out while at the same time allowing skirt to pop off with pull, due to the right angle formed where the rim of the lip extends past the coaming wall. Anyhow, I have largely ameliorated this problem by buying about 8 feet of reinforced clear tubing (5.8 inch inner diameter) of the type that might be used as dishwasher hose and which is sold at home depot in addition to many other places, cutting a slit down its length, and then attaching this to coaming rim. Now the skirt has something to grab onto and it appears to seal much better while still coming off quite easily.

Also, there was a good discussion here a while back about making your own sprayskirt which seemed pretty easy.
