That's where my mind was headed... could fill cavity with wax, sand top smooth, clean wax off rim, and glass/epoxy over. Should end up with nice flush mount after carefully trimming glass off inner rim and cleaning out wax carefully with tongue depressor and hair dryer. In theory, Mark, you're vicariously involved in a lot of boats. Always a theorotician, never a boatman!.. TNX, Scotty
