Sounds interesting! I've considered stripping an inlaid design with a lighter colored wood, perhaps eastern white cedar stained a variety of colors. Does the grain of the wood still show through the dye? Most important, does anyone have any thoughts as to potential adhesion problems upon fiberglassing?
Keep us posted. I'd be especially interested in hearing how deep the stain penetrated to allow for sanding. Thanks.
