I'm finishing up a CLC Tred Avon. I strip-built the deck of Fir and Redwood, and it looks like the final weight will be around 75# - 10# overweight. I chose this boat because I have a Cape Charles and was comfortable with the 4 panels. I do think that multi-chine would be quite a bit more difficult to align before final seam taping. Otherwise not too much different in construction. Of course I have not built a Pygmy... Just my$.02. I'd agree with the prior post- just do it!
