I was surprised that I didn't stir up a rucus with that post. I figured we were about due for a controversy, so I went ahead and posted it anyways.

The point is that activities affect attitude (& vice versa), which affects what music I listen to and what I like to drink while working in the shop.

One beer won't impair me enough to be hazardous, but I usually wait until I'm done with dangerous tools before I crack one open anyway.

Sanding is really a better example than ripping for a beer / hard rock activity. Fitting footpegs, hand carving a paddle, etc. are wine / classical (or other mellow) activities
