As the deck is supported quite wekk with extra beams I put in to strip to, I am not too concerned about it structurally. Even delaminated it's probably stronger than 4mm ply with no glass as the plans call for.

It sounds to me like there should not be too much concern about using it on the hull also? You saw the note on the intended use for this, flat water etc... I am concerned about the hull being resistant enough to some abuse. Intent is to lay up 4" 4oz tape over the seams and then cover with the 3.25 oz if I use it, else go the heavier 4oz. for both. Do you use the lighter cloth at all?
