Nope, I was only going to take those which had died of natural causes. (Recently, of course)

I'm assuming that if I cut the logs into strips from the outset, they shouldn't take too long to dry (more surface area, and you don't want them all that dry for steam-bending anyway, as I understand it). I already have several piles of older oak logs, but I'm assuming those would probably be too dry by this point (after sitting there for many years).
