It is probably easier to glue the strips together with regular carpenters glue. It's easier to clean up and less toxic than expoxy. It is inevitable that as you position 18ft x 3/4in x 1/4in strips that some glue is going to get in the wrong places. Carpenter's glue will also set up quicker than most epoxies.
