I built a rudder mount on my Guillemot, out of 5 layers of 3mm marine ply.It is a short skeg or fin extending aft,and I put a Perception rudder on it .I much prefer the rudder to no rudder(sorry Nick),and it looks like it belongs on the hull .Its(the skegs) bottom edge just touches the water when she is loaded.I epoxied it on ,and used 2 layers of 6 oz glass per side, after fairing it in with cabosil thickened epoxy.Sorry I can't transmit a picture
