> Woody Hello, I am in the middle of building my first kayak, I also did not want to use staples, so I am using spring clamps and U shaped plywood blocks to clamp my strips while the glue dries. To hold the strips against the forms as I proceed I am using a hot glue gun. It is working great so far if a little slow. I find it helps to use the slow setting sticks for the glue gun, this gives you a few minutes to reposition your strips. Also to keep the glue from permanently sticking to your forms, coat your forms with a couple of coats of shellac. Good luck with your kayak.
