Just in case you other S&G folks didn't here CLC is having thier first get together:

"Anyone interested in spending a weekend talking about, paddling, and learning about wooden boats is

invited to CLC's first get-together, May 7-9, 1999. It'll be a great opportunity to show off your boat —

even if it's not a CLC design — meet the CLC staff, and share ideas and info with other wooden boat

enthusiasts. We'll bring CLC's fleet of demo boats for those of you who've never gotten your feet wet.

Other activities include a tour and reception at CLC's shop, demonstrations of CNC cutting, scarfing,

painting, varnishing, other technical discussions, and group paddling trips.

OkoumeStock will be held at the West River Center, a summer camp and conference center located near

the town of Galesville. It's a 45-minute drive from both Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, and about

20 minutes from Annapolis.

Limited accommodations and meals are available at the conference center itself, and a 300-site

full-service campground is located nearby. You'll also have a range of hotels, motels, and romantic B&Bs to choose from in the

Annapolis area (can you get that kayak in the bedroom?) And just in case your family's eyes start to glaze as you trade

bevelling tips with yet another owner, there's plenty for them to do and see in historic Annapolis.
