Is there a way to hold the boat together (duct tape and cargo straps?) so you can remove the wire before glassing / taping the seams?

Could you use short pieces of F/G tape between wire stitches, remove wires, then put a layer of cloth/resin over those? I'm just trying to brainstorm a bit.
