Relax. Don't worry. Be happy...have a homebrew, etc. It's no big problem, really. I built my Ches. 17 before they came out with the addendum. If you glue the sheer clamps 1/4" higher, you'll save a bit of sanding/planing when it comes time to bevel the sheer clamps. I had to plane/sand a bit more into my okuome side panels, but it probably cost me an extra 10 minutes of work. If I had glued the sheer clamps higher, I'd have only had to belt sand them and just sand the side panels a little bit.

Just go for it. As CLC says, it will present no problem with further construction, and they're right. Your boat's deck will be about 1/8-1/4" lower as a result. Does this mean anything? Not really.
