While I haven't reached the coaming phase of my Guillemot project yet it has also occurred to me that glassing the compound curves of the coaming area must be a very tricky job. The glassing I have done to date has taught me that it is difficult if not impossible to get 6 oz cloth to "stay down" while making a sharp-90 deg.bend. Going up from the deck arround the coaming to the underside of the deck there are some serious changes of direction. How does one get the cloth to maintain contact up in the inside curves under the coaming.
What are some of the techniques you guys have come up with to maximize strength in the coaming area and still have it come out looking nice??
