I bought the same kit from Newfound

You cut 3/4" (parallel to the profile)off the end forms and laminate the inner stem strips back up to the origional shape and attach it with duct tape. I found this helpful as I could glue strips directly to the stem.

I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts of using or not using inner stems. I assumed that I was traiding off a slight increase in weight for increase in strength. In retrospect I think the end pour probably holds things together pritty securly.

I would use inner stems again for the ease of fitting together the bow and stern strips.
