I hesitate to call these "tips", so I will tell you what I did.

buy a box of disposable vinyl gloves, not latex. They come in two thicknesses, clear and green. the thinner ones(white) are fine. At 8.50 for a box of 50 pairs its a great value. And while it may feel decadent, change them often...like anytime you get epoxy on them, sure its a waste, so what.

buy a disposable tyvek suit (15.00-Home Depot), one with a hood. they are baggy, use rope to tie around your ankles, waist etc, wherever a bag is either uncomfortable or threatens to rub on your work. hang it up when your done so any glue dries flat , it will last the whole job.

Get a box of tongue depressors from someone who works in a hospital or CVS, use a pair of scissors and cut one of the round ends off. Do a bunch at a time (like maybe the whole box).

Wear old shoes, dont go anywhere in them but your work area....you will step in epoxy.

keep an empty trash barrel nearby. You will be amazed at the amount of trash you will create, its nice to be able to put it all somewhere, (other than the floor)

Have a supply of plastic mixing containers, a whole stack. Mix up a 6 oz batch in one, use it and use a clean one on your next batch. Dont stack the dirty ones, just let them cure, the epoxy will just crack and peel out later.

And safety glasses (I also use a respirator).
