After much reading and research I have narrowed my selection down to

I Built two Pygmy Osprey's this year, one for my wife first, then mine. The first one took about 50 hours and about 40 for the second. The kits were very complete, enough material to do the job but not much left over. The mahogoney that the pannels are made from is exceptional. The kayaks handle extreamly well and do not need a rudder. definetly install the hatch and bulkhead kit. We are intermediate level paddlers, we've used the boats in 3-4 foot ocean swells with no problem . They track like there on rails and are very fast. the kayaks are light and responsive. the only drawback to these kayaks is the ammount of attention they draw. E-mail me if you have any questions.
