One other thing to take into consideration. Is the epoxy thin enough, at whatever temperature you are working, to fully wet out the tape? We use biaxial tape down the center seam on the outside of all our kayaks, and dont have a problem with wetout at all, except if the shop is too cold.Make sure it's warm enough. AL
