Cory, I built a Tred Avon 21 from CLC some years ago and have used it on trips in the Gulf Islands and Barkley Sound here on the West Coast. It was relatively easy to build, but I had built a Cape Charles 18 bfore that and the construction is much the same. The boat handles very well with a much smoother ride than the single. The volume for carrying stuff for long trips is somewhat less than you would expect, but as long as you are careful about not wanting to bring the kitchen sink, there is enough room. If you don't have to carry fresh water like I do, you'll be OK. The boat looks great; if I don't get at least 2 compliments every time I take it out, I consider it a wasted day. Alex
