I did installed these SeaDog`s foot brace in my S&G Kayak in March. The main advantage from my point of view was the possibility to use this foot brace with my rudder and also by simply flipping the adjustable rod, it lock the pedal in place. When sitting in my kayak, the rod is not bothering my movement since it’s under my knees. The only disadvantage noticed, it needs often lubrication with silicone to reduce friction & noise due to some accumulation of sand in the track.
But overall, I’m please with this product.
